The Life I Live

The Life I Live Festival in The Hague is a huge free open-air music event that was first organised in 1989. On King’s Night and King’s Day, countless bands perform on several stages at different squares. You can listen to anything from local bands to international acts. As well as booking live bands, the city also attracts a number of DJs during the 2-day festival. So it is a big party every year, with people strolling from stage to stage and enjoying street food and drink. The Life I Live replaced The Hague’s fabulously popular KoninginneNach Festival in 2011. Every year, some 200,000 visitors find their way to The Life I Live Festival. Every edition offers an impressive mix of high-quality live music and other entertainment.

Accessibility
The Life I Live Festival takes place in The Hague’s city centre. Because the centre is traffic-free, it is advisable to leave your car at home and take your bike or public transportation.
If you are travelling to The Hague by train, it is a 5-minute walk to the city centre from Central Station and a 10-minute walk from Hollands Spoor. The NS will operate extra trains the whole night.
On the evening of April 26th, HTM operates a different timetable. Tram 1, 15, 16 and 17 and Bus 22 and 24 will be re-routed. Night buses 1 to 6 will operate from 00:30 to 5.00 hrs. from the bus platform at Central Station to various destinations. For more information, go to the website of HTM.
