The Hague Cocktail Week

It’s cocktail o’clock this May in the International City of Peace & Justice with the first edition of The Hague Cocktail Week.

From Grote Markt to Scheveningen beach, over 15 venues will be participating in the event this year, with each venue showcasing three cocktails for just €6 each from Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 May. Mixologists and brand ambassadors will also be hosting a wide range of masterclasses, tastings and themed events, ranging from a celebration of 100 years of the Negroni via a Bloody Mary brunch through to a guest-chef and mixologist Mexican themed dinner at Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant Basaal.

A wide selection of leading liquors are joining the week including Casamigos tequila and mescal co-founded by Hollywood’s George Clooney, Talisker single malt whisky from the Isle of Skye, Monkey 47 gin from Germany’s Black Forest, Schiedam’s historic Ketel One vodka, English gin Tanqueray Number Ten, super-premium rum Zacapa from the moun-tains of Guatemala, award-winning Altos tequila, Chivas Regal blended Scotch whisky, Don Papa rum from the Philippines, liquors and jenevers from The Hague’s very own Van Kleef, and the exciting range of botanically brewed tonics from England’s Fentimans.

To get the best from The Hague Cocktail Week, consumers can buy a €12 wristband in advance from venues or the festival website which entitles them to buy cocktails at €6 each, plus significant discounts on tickets for events and masterclasses.
