DESCRIPTION:Although these are now virtually forgotten oases in the busy inner city\, 150 years ago a quarter of The Hague’s population still lived in almshouses. With over 100 well-hidden courtyards\, The Hague merits the title ‘court city’. During this Dutch spoken walking tour of around 2 hours\, your guide will take you to these hidden places that previously offered free accommodations to poor and old people. The tour is enriched with stories about this part of the Court City. The tour led by a tour guide from Het Gilde\, takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 13.30 and starts at the VVV Den Haag (Spui 68). \n
